WINEMAKER LUNCH WITH ITALY’S ArPePe

We have a very special lunch on Saturday August 1st when we welcome Isabella Pelizzatti Perego from Italy’s ArPePe winery to pour her delicious wines alongside Stefano Longhi’s proudly authentic three-course menu.

Everyone that has tasted the ethereal, perfumed and delicately powerful wines of ArPePe knows the allure of these magical Northern Italian reds. An alpine expression of nebbiolo (known locally as chiavenasca), they are often compared with the wines of Burgundy such is their elegant and seductive nature. ArPePe is the region’s standard-bearer.

Enjoy Isabella’s personal accounts of making wine and living well in the Valtellina region of Italy’s Northern Lombardy as she pours six wines matched to Stefano’s special menu. Giorgio and Nick will both be here slinging good times and special bottles and Stefano will undoubtedly share a nostalgic word or two after lunch is served and he’s had a chance to “check the wines.”
